Saint John Neumann Catholic Women's Organization

The purpose of the Saint John Neumann Catholic Women’s Organization is to promote Christian living and service in the parish of St. John Neumann and in our greater community, foster the spiritual development of the women of the parish, and provide opportunities for friendship and community spirit through social, cultural, and educational programs and events.

We meet on the second Monday of each month, September through May, in the Multipurpose Room. We start every meeting at 7:00pm preceded by a social gathering and refreshments at 6:30pm.

Activities of the Saint John Neumann Catholic Women’s Organization include:

  • Hospitality after the 8:30am Mass on the first Sunday of each month
  • Outreach efforts that provide meals, rides and visits to those in need
  • Assisting the Knights of Columbus with the Pumpkin Patch and Lenten Fish Frys
  • Christmas stocking stuffing for the Powhatan Christmas Mother
  • Christmas Angel Tree
  • Lenten Retreat
  • White Elephant/Indoor Yard Sale

We also make charitable donations to organizations such as the Zipshirt ministry, Powhatan Food Pantry, Powhatan YMCA, American Cancer Society, From the Heart, Powhatan Christmas Mother and the Human Concerns Ministry, Vacation Bible School and NeuWaves Youth Group of Saint John Neumann.
