Returning in LENT 2017
Fridays - March 10th to April 7th





The Knights of Columbus will be hosting a Lenten meal every Friday in Father Val Hall during Lent.  All profits will go toward parish and Powhatan community projects. 

Dinner items include baked and fried fish, macaroni & cheese, fries, coleslaw, vegetables, soup and more.  

Some items will change weekly.

 Eat in or take out.  

Meals will be available from 5 PM to 7 PM. 

The cost is $9 for adults; $6 for children 5-10, children under 5 eat for Free. Family price is $26.00.

Dessert is $2.00. 

Please stay for Stations of the Cross and Adoration which begin every Friday during Lent at 7:00 PM. 







PUMPKIN PATCH 2017
Coming in October!

Join the Knights of Columbus and Ladies of Grace in supporting this year's Pumpkin Patch fundraiser.  The patch will once again be located on the site of Country Living Homes at 2504 Anderson Hwy in Powhatan (click for directions) near the intersection of Dorset Rd and Rt 60.

Founded in 1882, the Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Roman Catholic fraternal service organization.  Approximately1.8 million men are members who see their mission as supporting the Pope, Bishops and Priests and defending the faith.
 
Father Val von Meysenbug Council 9507 was formed in 1987 at St. John Neumann parish in Powhatan.  Their business meeting is held the first Sunday of each month at 7:00 PM in Fr. Val Hall.  A monthly social is usually held on the 3rd Sunday,4:00 to 6:00 PM.
 
This Council is focused on charitable works within Powhatan and surrounding areas.  Fundraising activities include:
   - October Pumpkin Patch in conjunction with the Ladies Auxiliary
   - "Keep Christ in Christmas" Cards
   - Friday Lenten Fish Dinners
   - KOVAR: proceeds help people with special needs
 
One of the on-going charitable programs is cutting trees and donating the split wood to the elderly and needy for cooking purposes and heating their homes.
