First Penance & Eucharist

"Not only does it [the Sacrament of Penance] free us from our sins but it also challenges us to have the same kind of compassion and forgiveness for those who sin against us. The Sacrament of Penance is God's gift to us so that any sin committed after Baptism can be forgiven.  In confession we have the opportunity to repent and recover the grace of friendship with God (US Conference of Catholic Bishops)."

"Jesus said to them, 'I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst.'"  - John 6:35

Sacrament preparation classes are separate and in addition to regular religious education classes at the parish or in a Catholic school. First Sacrament classes take place on a weekday evening (class days and times are subject to change based on building and catechist availability).

All sacrament preparation classes are mandatory. There are also three mandatory parent classes for both First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.
