A Message from Fr. Eric Anokye
We want all newcomers to our parish to feel welcome. Perhaps you or your family are new to the area, returning to the Church, preparing your children for the sacraments, or simply eager to become more involved in parish life. While much information is available on our website, we believe that personal connection and welcoming faces are an important part of becoming part of our parish family.
Our Newcomers Orientation is generally held every other month between the Sunday Masses. During the orientation, newcomers receive a brief overview of the history of the parish, are introduced to the many ministries and opportunities for involvement, meet members of the parish staff, and enjoy a tour of the church.
Participants will also receive a welcome packet containing helpful information to get started, including a parish registration form. We hope this process makes registration less about paperwork and more about becoming part of a vibrant community of faith, prayer, and service.
In addition to newcomers, we also invite some of our active parishioners to attend and share their enthusiasm and experiences of life at St. John Neumann Parish.
I look forward to meeting you and opening our doors as a welcoming community of faith.
Frequently, parishioners requesting to celebrate Marriage, have a child baptized, or serve as a sponsor for Baptism or Confirmation may need a letter verifying active parish membership. To receive such a letter, individuals should be registered in the parish, attend Mass regularly, and participate in the stewardship of time, talent, and treasure.
One way we are able to recognize and verify parish participation is through the use of parish offertory envelopes. If you are unable to contribute financially at this time, we kindly ask that you still place your envelope in the weekly offertory with a note of your prayerful support. This helps us recognize your continued participation in parish life and ensures that your registration remains active in our parish records.
